Pan — Unable to register Income Tax E-filing

Problem:
When you try to register at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in for your tax e-filing the website frequently tells that the firstname/surname doesn't match with the data you entered. So what ever combinations you do, it will repeat the same and you will not go past the registration form.

Solution,
Here is the trick.

Go to: https://onlineservices.tin.egov-nsdl.com/etaxnew/tdsnontds.jsp
Select: CHALLAN NO./ITNS 280

Then do below steps,

1. Choose Income Tax 
2. Enter your PAN 
3. Fill in District, State and Pin Code
4. Type of Payment : 100
5. Mode of payment: Choose anything
6. Enter captcha
7. Click Proceed.

So if everything is correct you can see your full name on the next page.

So you select the same thing and copy-paste it to the e-filing registration form and that will work.
